Söderberg & Partners Wealth Management has announced a strategic partnership with fintech platform Firenze to broaden access to Lombard lending for advisers and clients across the UK.
Traditionally available only to private banking clients, Lombard lending allows investors to borrow against their portfolios without selling assets, disrupting strategies, or triggering capital gains tax. Through this partnership, Söderberg & Partners advisers can now offer clients flexible, fast and cost-effective borrowing solutions, with loans starting from £65,000, secured against investment portfolios.
Lombard lending enables clients to access liquidity without stepping out of the market, creating opportunities for smarter tax and inheritance planning while preserving long-term investment strategies. By keeping portfolios fully invested, advisers can help clients maintain performance and market exposure offering a powerful alternative to private banks—one that enhances client outcomes and ensures advisers maintain AuM.
The service is powered by Firenze’s secure, tech-enabled platform, designed to deliver rapid approvals—often within hours—at lower interest rates than unsecured borrowing. Firenze, backed by Outward VC and a £160m funding line with Monument Bank, is targeting over £1bn in lending over the next three years.
Nick Raine, CEO of Söderberg & Partners Wealth Management, said:
“Being able to offer Lombard lending provides our advisers with a valuable new tool and a distinct advantage. It strengthens our broader proposition, helps us compete effectively with private banks, and gives clients innovative new ways to manage liquidity and wealth.”
David Newman, CEO of Firenze, added:
“Söderberg & Partners are one of the most exciting players in UK wealth management. Their platform is innovative, and their growth strategy impressive. We’re delighted to support their advisers and clients in accessing Lombard lending and the benefits it brings.”
This partnership underscores Söderberg & Partners’ commitment to enhancing adviser capabilities and client outcomes and reflects Firenze’s mission to democratise access to private banking solutions for the mass-affluent market.
